About EIEI ACOFI 2024

The Colombian Association of Engineering Schools (ACOFI, acronym in Spanish) will hold a new edition of the ACOFI International Engineering Education Meeting (EIEI ACOFI) from September 24 to 27, 2024, with the central theme “Engineering: a transition to the future”.

The EIEI ACOFI 2024 will have different academic activities, such as panels, dialogues with experts, workshops, technical activities and keynote conferences on the central topic. It will have the activities that it has carried out in each of its versions related to the trends in strategies associated with engineering education and the contributions of engineering to social and economic development, on a large stage that will accommodate exhibitors and participants from different places to share your knowledge and experience.

The following participants will participate in the EIEI ACOFI 2024: deans, academic and administrative directors, engineering professors and students, representatives of the productive sector, State entities, union entities and society, who will interact to study, analyze, debate and reflect on how the Engineering education is essential for the transition.
The EIEI ACOFI 2024 will have different participation modalities: the presentation of works on engineering education, the eleventh version of the Engineering Students Forum (FCEI), the sixth version of the Engineering Doctorate Students Meeting (ENEDI), the presentation of research advances in engineering and a day on good practices for curricular internationalization in engineering programs.

The Meeting is a great opportunity for relationships between organizations, companies, government and representatives of institutions in one of the most important stages of engineering education on a global level.

The EIEI ACOFI 2024 will have the participation of leading engineering personalities with the purpose of generating an area of deepening knowledge in the different areas of the profession, to promote the exchange of ideas and experiences and establish ties of cooperation.

The Board of Directors and the administrative office of ACOFI invite the entire engineering academic community, represented by its schools, undergraduate and graduate programs, institutes, centers and research groups; to businessmen and unions related to engineering; to local, regional, national and international governments; to regional and global organizations; to the media and, in general, to society interested in knowing how through engineering we generate transformation for a better world.

General objective

The EIEI ACOFI 2024 is the event for engineering schools and programs that allows the study, analysis and debate of fundamental aspects to achieve, through a look at the future, what the transition of this profession will be like in the face of development, knowledge and construction of opportunities.

Specific objectives
