Inaugural Conference
Motivation
Faculties, schools and engineering programs consistently perform better form proposals for engineers: new uses of technology, alternative forms of education, new ways of relating to the company, the state and the new presence in society, among many others issues.
In turn, the issues surrounding engineering education can be considered recurring: classroom practices, pedagogical training of teachers, student characteristics, assessment, measurement indicators, resource use, among others, but it is understood that the context in which they develop is changing and all players must be willing to address them, always favoring quality.
These situations cause transformation in human talent required in how to use their infrastructure and laboratories and to promote training for these elements, which certainly in a world of increasingly limited resources and increasing demands, require creativity and ability to innovate, to meet what society needs for its development.
Objective
Reflecting on the core aspects of the new scenarios in engineering education under a critical context of the reality of the country and trends in engineering education.

Conference: The training of engineers in Brazil, Latin America and the World. Preparing engineers for global enterprises
Motivation
Faculties, schools and engineering programs focus their efforts to make better engineers on topics such as: new uses of technology, alternative forms of education, new ways of relating to the company, the state and society, among others further develop their business anywhere in the world.
Training in addition to their own situations include engineering, is consistent with the conditions of an increasingly globalized world, yet not forgetting your region is necessary in this context.
Objective
Reflect and discuss the curriculum as an engineering program must address elements of internationalization, globalization in its structure.

Conference: Graduate Studies and Research: its commitment to engineering in Colombia
Motivation
Faculties, schools and engineering programs focus their efforts to make better engineers on topics such as: new uses of technology, alternative forms of education, new ways of relating to the company, the state and society, among others. In this framework postgraduate and research are becoming increasingly important as they constitute a definitive factor for the development of both the engineering and society.
The topics of interest to those responsible for the training of engineers in both the undergraduate and graduate programs are of a recurring nature and include among other important topics: learning strategies, pedagogical preparation of teachers, student characteristics, evaluation, construction and measurement of indicators, use of resources and social and economic impact of the products and results.
Rising offers graduate programs in engineering, as well as progress in research related to issues of academic and professional interest, should be reflected in both the qualification offers undergraduate and in meeting social expectations, especially in the areas of greatest vulnerability. The social responsibilities of the engineering demand offers postgraduate and research programs continued commitment to the quality of the processes of formation of human talent that is required to deal with solvency constraints of resources and the environmental, economic demands and cultural conditioning to all scientific and technological responses that society needs for its development.
Objective
Reflecting on the relationship between undergraduate and graduate offerings in engineering and the role of graduate programs and research in the development of Colombian engineering.
